FORGE was founded in Paris in 1991 by several Gestalt Training Institutes to promote an international cooperation through sharing of documents, programs, researches, and exchange of trainers and students, in a convivial and confident climate.

FORGE is a nonprofit organization.
FORGE is a Federation - each member Institute remains autonomous -- of 28 institutes from 19 countries.
FORGE is a Federation - which means that each Institute remains totally autonomous and free.
FORGE doesn’t decide any kind of norms imposed to anybody but share experiences and research.

Every year, FORGE organizes study days for the staff of the Training Institutes (Directors and permanent trainers) around themes concerning practice and research in the field of training in Gestalt Therapy and many bilateral exchanges of trainers from pone country to another.

FORGE objectives:

FORGE has gathered some 23,000 titles in English, 1,000 in french and several hundred others in German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and other languages. Each country represented by FORGE membership produces a Gestalt Journal one to four times per year.
